Today a group of Dover Bridge Brigaders completed their first "Signs of Fascism" event on Central Avenue in Dover. Cheers to Lisa who has taken over spearheading the group and a special thank you to Seacoast Indivisible for loaning us the signs. Lots of honks and thumbs up!

So my kids said aside from dinner what would you enjoy for Mothers Day and I said, come to the bridges with me and they did! An amazing day all around!

My daughter came to my bridge during her 1/2 hour break from work. She brought me flowers!

Candia had a visit from a gruff looking biker - my son who arrived, with BBQ from Goody Coles in his saddle bag! So I did get a little something fun for Mother's Day besides honks!

We had another successful event today at Exit 4. A 9-year-old girl, who has seen us many times, convinced her father to stop and speak with u . When asked if he brought her to the bridge to learn about democracy, the father noted that she was actually the one who brought him. He took a photo of her holding one of our signs, which she planned to share with her friends. He now has our business card, and I am confident we will see them again.

A young kid drove on his bike past us on the bridge. One person threw her hand out for a fly by high five. They missed. The kid stopped a little way down the road and ran back to complete the high five. I gave him a card to let him know who we are.

A new volunteer signed up this morning. Woot Woot!!  This right here is why we want as many of our bridges as possible open every single week.

We’ve finally built trust with our neighbors. People are watching. Thinking. Gathering courage. And when they are finally ready to step forward, we want our bridges to be there waiting for them. Well done Mary Beth and the Exit 7 Team.

Jane they still saw your signs even though the police made you hold them instead of hanging them on the fence. BRAVO!! Well done my friend to you and your team.
