Gorgeous (if gusty) day to be on the overpass, with old friends, returning friends and new! We had 12 brigaders today, including a first timer, and immediately fit right in like she'd been standing with us forever. We also had a very sweet interaction with a trucker, who approached us as we were leading our prep talk. He came over to ask who are were and to thank us, let us know he honks for us regularly as he passes, and passes under other active bridges as well on his regular route through NH. So many great connections and conversations today.

Just got back from the White Mountains and passed 4 Bridge Brigades on 93 on the way

By the 3rd I was crying, it was a mix of how the hell did we get here and feeling solidarity with humans who understand the present reality

I believe I snagged a new voter this morning! I was at the post office buying postcard stamps and the cashier commented that they have been selling enormous amounts of those lately. She asked if it was for political postcards and I said yes. Then she asked if it was too late to register to vote and I said NOPE, you can register on-site on election day and cast a provisional ballot. She thanked me for the info and said it feels very important to vote this time. Not sure which way she leans but based on a few clues I would guess she is on our side
